My name is Irina Hood and I am a professional English - Russian translator, Russian interpreter and Russian tutor. I am based near London, UK. I have been a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, UK, since 2001.

As an English - Russian translator I offer first-hand knowledge in many aspects of corporate affairs, the public sector, tourism and others, to both corporate and private clients. This is based on extensive practical experience gained as a full-time Russian translator and interpreter for EU Technical Assistance Projects and international commercial companies.

About me

I am a trained Russian translator with a degree in Linguistics. Originally from Russia, I have been based in the UK for over 15 years working closely with a large number of the British and European companies such as Honda Racing, BBC, Fyffes, British Vogue, Channel 4, and National Geographic, helping them with business negotiations or translation of materials into Russian or English. Having said that I am equally happy to assist individual English or Russian-speaking clients with my Russian Language services.

As a member of the CIOL I provide certified Russian to English or English to Russian translations of documents for official use. In the last 5 years I have successfully completed certified English-Russian translations of corporate and personal documents for over 750 clients in the UK, Europe and other English and Russian-speaking countries.

My Russian interpreting assignments cover London and Greater London, Brighton, Guildford, Gatwick, Redhill, Tunbridge Wells, Southampton, Portsmouth, West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire and Essex.
